# Abstract Confusions

Complexity is not a cause of confusion. It is a result of it.

I was planning for this post for a long time. I got some time now, so here goes my first blog post for year 2010.

I always go fancy over even numbers, and odd numbers doesn’t appeal to me, on that note, number 2009 was a dull year to me. But number 2009 turns out to rather be a mathematical marvel. 2009 factorial ends exactly with 500 0’s. Last 500 digits of $2009!$ is 0. And there will be one more extra zero at the end in 2010 factorial.

Year 2010 doesn’t have any thing special like that when compared to 2009. As noted here, number 2010 is the number of trees on a 15 vertices with diameter of 7. Apart from the fact 2010 has an aesthetic appeal, it doesn’t appear to have any thing special, at least mathematically.

Number characteristics are known by their prime number ingredients. Looking at the prime factors of 2010: $2 \times 3 \times 5 \times 67 = 2010$. Of recent, only 2002 had distinct four prime factors, $2 \times 7 \times 11 \times 13 = 2002$. In a way 2010 is special, since all the factors are distinct and did not repeat.

Apart from this, I have decided to do few things in this year. Go home more often, spend more time with family, be connected with friends, post more and often on blog and learn new things. Let’s see how year 2010 goes up.
