Abstract Confusions

Complexity is not a cause of confusion. It is a result of it.

About this blog

This blog is mainly of mathematical nature but not limited to it. It’s a mixture of expository material, a running account of my interest, and things which amuse me (books, movies and many more!).

Views posted in this blog / site is totally of personal. If you have any objections over the things posted here, please feel free to drop your views/ concerns in the message box down here or a mail to me.

Here is an entry, why I named this blog as abstract confusions.

Feel free to ask your questions. 😉

About me

I’m Guru ( What’s in a name? ). You probably already knew that. I did the three plus two year mathematics degree at PSG CAS and then at PSG Tech, Coimbatore, graduating with a degree with a strange name that pretends to be an Application Degree. Although I’m currently employed as a code monkey, but am determined to keep up my mathematics work on my own time. Keeping this blog up is one of the ways I’m doing so.

Updates:

You will start seeing more postings on Oracle from now. 🙂

Some Quotes I like:

Donald Rumesfeld (Fr., US Defense Sec.)

As we know, these are known knowns, There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don’t know we don’t know.

George Bernard Shaw

Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable people attempt to adapt the world to themselves. All progress, therefore, depends on unreasonable people.

Carl Friedrich Gauss

Mathematics is Queen of all sciences and Number Theory is Queen of mathematics.

David Hilbert

We must know. We will know.

Reimann –

Life is good for doing only two things. Reading mathematics and teaching mathematics.

    Bwahahaha!
    Hubris of the “logical mind”.
If you truly think this you understand neither.
This is not really an “objection” or “concern”, just a friendly warning.
And you are not the only one to be so deluded, all philosophy/theology feeds on that: We gonna get the “true answers” (or picture or whatever).

Welcome Murugan, nice to see you around, commenting. I’m scribbling what I try to understand. Nothing special in it. 🙂

Hope you and your family is fine. Always wanted to catch up with you for some time, not sure when it would be possible. Let’s see.
